Acid Mines Trading Cards

General Acid Cards thread. Discuss cards here.

There are currently 1000 unique cards, each with super, holo, ultra and uber versions. (5000 cards).
And 200 Black cards.

Card Commands:
All commands can be either /card or /cards

/card info - Hold a card and view info about it
/card sell - Hold a card. Sell the card for card points
/card shop - Spend card points on new cards

/card open - Hold a booster pack and use this to open it
/card openinto - Open a booster pack directly into storage books (requires all storage books)

/card sign - Have a sign placed below a card in an item frame. Right click the card to display info on the sign

/card off - Disable random cards from skilling
/card on - Enable random cards

Holding a storage book:
/card take (type) - Take a specified card out of the storage book
/card empty (type) - Empty cards from a book into a chest
/card doubles (type) - Empty doubles of cards into a chest
/card fill - Fill a book with cards from a chest
/card read - Open a storage book to visually see the cards

Soon I will be adding trading cards to the server using images rendered onto map items.
I'm hoping to make 1000 cards in total.

The cards will be things like places on the server, special items, minecraft mobs, enchantments, admins and mods, all the fish.

I'm currently at 380 cards on my list.

I don't want to give out the list as I want them to be a surprise, but if you have any ideas for cards, please post them here.

I've been making cards, it takes a long time.

I'm currently at 62 done. (each with a holo version).

But after about 20 I stopped checking what they look like in-game, so the colours probably look terrible.

Here's what I have so far. This will be the last preview I give; don't want to spoil the list.

I've made 102 cards now. Some look really cool in-game, some look crappy.

I've made the cards obtainable in-game and it's really fun for me just spawning random cards and seeing what I get. Opening a booster pack of 10 and getting a rare card feels really good.

I don't know how long it will take to make the rest of the cards, and I still want to come up with another 600 ideas to get the list to 1000. If I put them on the server with less cards, the rare ones will be easier to get.

I still want ideas posted here.

Turning this thread into a general Card discussion thread.

I added 49 new cards yesterday to boost the total up to 600.

And today I added 50 more in the Indie set.

Minecraft is the biggest success of any indie game and I decided to make cards of some other great indie titles.
Most of them are bosses from Terraria, and playable characters in Super Meat Boy. The playable characters from SMB are characters from other indie games so that worked out well.

If you get a card and don't know what it is from, use /card info




Soon there will be an update to add 2 new classes of cards; super and ultra. Every card will get Super and Ultra versions which will be above Holo.

You can now open booster packs directly into the storage books.

You must own all 20 storage books. Put them in a chest.

Type /cards openinto

Hold the booster and open the chest.

If one of your storage books has 64 of a card, and you get that card from the booster, you will not receive it. You will receive a message that you missed out on it.

Another new command. You can now visually read storage books without flipping pages.

Hold a storage book and type /cards read

This will open up a GUI with all of the cards in that book.
You can switch between Normal, Super, Holo, Ultra and Uber by clicking the wool.
You can click on a card to take it out of the book. Click on a card in your inventory to put it into the book. Left click will move a stack, right click will move 1.

Here is a WinRAR file containing all of the original card images. You can see how they look before Minecraft renders them poorly.

Perhaps these can replace the screenshot images on the wiki.

I just found out that since 1.11, explorer maps allow me to change the icon colour of maps.

Card update coming soon.
I've mostly finished, just doing some tests.

If you have any booster packs I suggest you open them now, can't guarantee they won't break. Especially black card boosters.

The rarity values will change for new cards. They will be either Common, Uncommon, Rare or Legendary.
Legendary cards will have a small animated effect on them.


Cards below 1000 will be referred to as "Legacy" cards. They will still work the same as before with the same rarity values, but will not be obtainable in-game.
