Infusion is the 8th skill in the Acid Mines, and the first buyable skill that uses resources rather than gathers them.

Infusion allows you to combine emeralds with items to make them yield more XP and to repair tools, weapons and armour.

It is trained using an anvil.
Emeralds must always be placed in the anvil last.

To infuse an item:
Put the item you wish to infuse in the 2nd slot, and then put the emeralds in the first slot.



The number on the result item is the total amount that the item will be infused with once you click on it.
You can infuse an item with up to 1000 emeralds at once. (although you can keep infusing to earn xp, the emeralds won't be stored in the item).

When a tool is infused with emeralds, each use will grant bonus XP and use one charge.

Pickaxes - Mining
Axes - Woodcutting/Farming
Swords - Combat/Slayer
Fishing Rods - Fishing
Boots - Agility

XP Boost Amounts:
Level 10 - 110%
Level 20 - 120%
Level 30 - 130%
Level 40 - 140%
Level 50 - 150%
Level 60 - 160%
Level 70 - 170%
Level 80 - 180%
Level 90 - 190%
Level 100 - 200%

(At level 100, an infused item will grant double XP).

You can check the number of infusions on an item using the command:
/skills infused

Repairing Items:
You can also repair items using infusion. To repair, put the item in the 1st slot and the emerald in the second slot.



The number on the result item is the damage. 0 is a completely repaired item.

Items that can be repaired:
Diamond, Iron and Gold tools, weapons and armour.
Bows, Fishing Rods, Shears, Flint and Steel.

Repair Amounts:
Level 1 - 1 Durability per Emerald
Level 5 - 2 Durability per Emerald
Level 15 - 5 Durability per Emerald
Level 25 - 10 Durability per Emerald
Level 35 - 15 Durability per Emerald
Level 45 - 20 Durability per Emerald
Level 55 - 25 Durability per Emerald
Level 65 - 30 Durability per Emerald
Level 75 - 35 Durability per Emerald
Level 85 - 40 Durability per Emerald
Level 95 - 45 Durability per Emerald
Level 105 - 50 Durability per Emerald

Commands:
"infusion" can be shortened to "inf"
/skills infusion - check your level
/skills top infusion - check top scores

Training infusion will be very slow and cost a lot of money.

Admins will be restricted to level 30 until others reach high levels.

Infusion skill armour and sap caps have also been added to Treasure Hunter.
