The lottery has come to the Acid Mines.

The lotto is drawn each day at around 10PM.

There are 6 numbers from 1-42.

To win the jackpot, you need to match all 6 numbers.
There are also prizes for matching 4 or 5 of the numbers.

The jackpot will start at the minimum of $100,000 and increase each day depending on how many tickets are sold, until the jackpot is won. When someone eventually wins, it will go back to $100,000.

Tickets cost $100 each.

Commands:
/lotto - View today's jackpot
/lotto help - View lotto commands
/lotto history - View the previous winning numbers
/lotto check - View your current lotto tickets
/lotto random - Buy a lotto ticket with random picks
/lotto random [1-10] - Buy up to 10 random tickets at a time
/lotto [picks] - Choose 6 numbers from 1-42 for your ticket

Example: /lotto 4 8 15 16 23 42
You can also use 'R' as a random number - /lotto 4 8 R 16 23 R

It is possible for random picks to be the same, but the chances of that are the same as winning the jackpot.

I was just looking at the recent updates and saw this. The chances of winning the jackpot with these numbers is 1 in 5,245,786. Matching 5 numbers is 1 in 24,287. Then 4 numbers is 1 in 556. With these odds the only realistic prize anyone will match is going to be 4 numbers. I would think there needs to be less numbers to choose from as I doubt anyone will ever match 5 numbers and it's not even worth mentioning the jackpot. I would think the top prize should be closer to 1/5000 or thereabouts? Just my 2 cents (not that I've been playing on the server recently) Wink

It's meant to be unlikely to win. It's far more likely than most real lotteries.

1/5000 is way too low. At $100 per ticket and the draw happening every day it would be too easy.
I don't want it to go off regularly.

And during testing, I bought a few hundred tickets and did get 5/6.


There is actually a 1 in 365 chance that someone will win, but it's not per ticket. Just a chance that one random ticket will be chosen.
