An idea I had for the Mushroom mall, was to turn it into a trade centre.

So villagers have their own stalls and players can trade things with them. Perhaps if it isn't too difficult/impossible, custom villagers to trade resources like wood or stone rather than selling it.

I like the idea but what custom trades would they have? What makes trading better than selling resources then buying what you need?

Regular villagers can be purchased in spawn eggs and some players have set up their own traders to help farm and make money, having public villagers takes away from that.

i actually really like this idea! They could trade things that we cant get from normal villigers such as some acidmines custom items

Got to walk the line of not making things too easy which gets people bored quicker & usefulness. You could use it to trade like one type of wood for another type of wood. Go to the dark oak trader & trade him with your surplus Birch for his dark oak. Same would work for the various types of stone, diorite granite etc.
